A VISIT TO MY COUSIN
Paid my cousin a visit this evening and spent some quality time albeit short with my niece and nephews. Attempted a few amateurish shots.

Samson
This was playing in Starbucks @ Plaza Damas which took half my breathe away
Drizzling softly outside the window lazy Sunday noon
Watching raindrops from canopy in slow motion
Ahh… I’m in a nostalgic mood

Your chance to transform your love life on 27th June 2009…
Came home after dinner with the ex last night.
My sis asked me, “ So how was dinner? Any chance of you two getting back?”
I said, “ Oh dinner was good. Nah we were just talking business.”
“Business??? he wants to join your company?” She baffled. ![]()
“ Err not really, he’s now into the business of helping other guys to court girls. Like those guys who are too shy to talk to girls, or guys who appear to be too boring, need a life transformation, you know that sort of thing. So, if you have any guy friends like that you can refer them to him.”
She gave me a mega WTF face.

Well, I don’t usually do this but since this is a favor from the ex so I’m helping him to promote this upcoming event that he’s so flipping excited about. Master of Pick Up Artist (MPUA). Okay, the correct usage is called “ Love Life Transformation Coach”. But I have to say they are very serious about this and it’s being done by a proven track record.

Weekend on Changkat
There’s no reason to love people. And there is no limit to how happy you can be.
follow @JimKitzMiller on twitter
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had dinner at Neroteca last weekend with some of my Ipoh friends who came to downtown KL.
Love the ambience and food at this famous Italian joint on Changkat. Mich said it reminded her of the restaurants in Melbourne. I said it reminded me of Est Est Est in Liverpool. Anyway, 7 of us have enjoyed our gastronomic 2 course meals, a combination of antipasto, pastas and salad, ( sorry no photos as no one bothered to bring camera along that night) before we adjourned to Frangipani Bar for more drinks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Frangipani on Friday night was a real eye opener for me. I’ve been to strip clubs in Liverpool and pot bars in Amsterdam and even some gay bars in London, but not like this. According to my gfs, we have never encountered seeing so many gorgeous with dishy bodies looking men all crowded at one place before.
Unfortunately they were of course, all gays. Super friendly elite gays. They were having a helluva time there and so did we. ![]()
It felt as if we were sent to another planet and pampered with champagnes, fine wines and sexy cocktails throughout the night. ![]()
Pure bliss.

Neroteca tucked at ground floor of Somerset Residency
Watched Angels and Demons on Saturday after seeing so many positive feedbacks about the movie. Not bad, I quite like it though a little too much killing for my taste… ![]()
But anyway, another weekend is calling at the corner but it’s going to be a busy one for me ahead.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Death. Missing French Plane . Goldmine Fire.
We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill
A random MSN conversation between me and a good friend over the tragic news of the missing french airliner in Brazil (read here for the news) and the Goldmine fire in South Africa (read here for the news).
While my week started off greatly after a well recharged weekend, world news hasn’t been that cheery in the past few days has it? Well does news ever get cheery after all? Or is it true that only bad news draws human emotions hence it sells? ![]()
Whatever it is.
My heart sincerely goes out to the family members of all the victims whose worst fear is being realized. My curiosity remains at the cause of the plane crash and, ironically, the indifferent values of human perception over the two tragedies. ![]()
I’m wondering why am I the only one in the vicinity of my planet who seem to care about this?
![]()
Steph:
i’m wondering if i’m the only one who’s following the news updates of the missing French jet
SambaJ:
yes you are
Steph:
Not even a single mention in my fb network of 600 to date.
Am I the only soul here being gossipy about the tragic death of 200 victims?
But this is seemingly obvious that it’s 10 times more tragic than all those perpetually dramatic Malaysian politics that everyone’s raving about every other minute. Or the collapse of buildings. So to speak
SambaJ:
i’m not french, or work for NATO
why are YOU following it?
Steph:
i personally have a discreet fear for flying
as i have issues with heights of most types of things in life i can think of
and I pray every time the plane that I sit in takes off so it’s just natural that this piece caught my attention
or probably not
SambaJ:
there’s less risk in flying than in driving cars.
yet u drive every day.
so it’s not a French *jet*, it’s an airliner issit?
Steph:
yeah it’s an airliner
well with cars you are still in control, there’s still a small glimpse of hope that you could be alive. with planes, well your life lies entirely in the hands of the pilot. Or fate. whatever you call it.
I have chronic phobia with heights.
SambaJ:
that’s a big difference between a jet and an airliner.

Beautifully Imperfect
From an online marketing perspective, I’d say this is an excellent viral marketing piece of work. For a second there, I almost thought it was for real!
How many of us have really, honestly, not complaining for even one second there, and did try to love our imperfect partners in the most perfect way?
And as the video suggested, it’s often too late when we realized it. Be it a love that has gone to a better place. Or a lost love that will never return.

The Plant
Okay, I’ve heard enough people telling me that I’ve left my blogsite abandoned for way too long. Well I just kinda lost the muse to blog along the way and besides, there’s nothing in life lately that’s exciting enough to shout about. Hence the blogger’s block.
Some friends who’ve known me for a while and know what’s going on in my life even gave me some content suggestions as to what I should write… hahaha
Gosh can’t believe it! If they already know what’s been happening then what’s the point of me narrating it over again right?! Silly people…
But okay, admittedly I’ve been doing some soul searching lately. Again? yes again. I always believe that it’s a lifelong journey to find our own identities because of one fact that many would tend to omit - we do change constantly without us knowing it. And whether we like it or not, for the better or for the worse, but we do. Recently met up with an old friend whom I have deliberately not spoken to or seen for more than 3 years and when I was being put in touch again, I hesitated for a mo or two there but thought perhaps it’s about time to let bygone be bygones. I may not be able to call this person a friend ever again but I wanted to face it. It’s scary but it’s the past. Nothing could be worse than avoiding that fear staring right back at you and you do nothing about it ain’t it? So yeah, go figure…
Truth is I’d never know if I didn’t try. Came home smiling to myself knowing the difference and impact that three years of rain and sunshine has molded me into. To become this plant that may be shaken at times, but hopefully won’t fall. And if it really does, hopefully there’d be someone catching it before it does. =)

FAQ on Swine Flu
With the two confirmed swine flu cases loomed over Malaysia, it’s better to take precautions than to be sorry. On the same day when the first case was reported, me and siblings had to send super mom and god mom back to Shanghai and KLIA was eerily quiet. You could hear your own footstep was how quiet it was. Everyone’s too scared to be seen at airports? Or is the economy downturn causes everyone to stay at home instead of flying? Nah, I think it’s just the timing as it was 1am in the morning. :p
heh.
Well if you don’t already know much about H1N1, it’s time to educate yourself and stay healthy!
What is the A (H1N1) influenza?
It is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A strains of the influenza virus. It regularly causes high flu outbreaks in pigs but with low death rates. There are four main sub-types of the virus, but the most recent isolated influenza viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses.
How does it spread?
Influenza A (H1N1) viruses do not typically infect humans though they do occur through close proximity or contact with infected pigs or contaminated areas. Cases of human-to-human spread have been documented.

Gratefulness
I’m very thankful for all the people in my life who have touched me in ways I couldn’t even imagine… I’m truly, truly blessed. There are people like Michelle and Alan who are my mega pillar of strength and others like Jacky who silently made prayers for me up in the mountain last week. He said these flying flags with my name written on it are supposed to bring me luck, good health and positive energies… but I think, in spite of a little name spelling mistake there, I sure hope these blessings will still be able to reach me no?
Jacky made a prayer for me in a Tibetan Buddhism ritual
The flags are currently hung on-route to Genting in commemoration of Wesak Festival
And I know there are many other silent prayers out there who have been watching over me. They say pains create wisdom and and each gunshot wound makes it more bulletproof the next time one’s out in the battlefield. The last one month truly made me realize how I can never live without friendships.
I’m so blessed. I seriously am.

Marley and Me
Movie is always more promising if you don’t have a high expectation but this one is exceptionally good. I didn’t read the book, Owen Wilson isn’t exactly my favorite star either, Jennifer Anniston hmmm she’s ok. But since one of my gfs was dying to watch the movie so we went on a spontaneous popcorn & movie night out. I was warned that I’d need a box of tissue for that and I was like ok whatever.
Ended up 3 women finishing a pack of tissues, puffy red eyes as we walked out of the cinema. ![]()
On another lighter note, Dot called in the afternoon telling that we are gonna watch the preview of “ Confession of a Shopaholic ” on Monday as my first and earliest bday pressie!
Thank you girl!
So much TLC is going around lately ![]()
