Catch Up with Bin
I don’t think anyone would believe how on earth did we do that. We stayed in Starbucks for about 2 hours doing our work then we walked down to the pub, Castle, by the corner to have a drink and chit-chat. We stayed there from 2pm till 9pm. Finished 3 jugs of beer and we even had dinner there as well. It seems like we can never finish catching up. How I wish the rest of the girls were here too.
Almost went to Desa Pandan but decided not to in the very end. Maybe next week.
Interview in the afternoon today.

Haven’t felt any better since I got back to Ipoh despite there was some comforting news that I’ll be going for the second interview next week. Even if this job was secured there would be so many more other considerations to make and at the moment I just don’t want to stress myself any further till it really happens.
Besides immersing myself into the job hunting world, I have been looking for a second hand car as well. There are already a few cars listed in Motor Trader that raised my eyebrows but I’ll need a payslip before I can do anything about it. There goes another uncertainty.

New to KL
Everyone who were supposed to go out with us last night all couldn’t make it, so guess there will be a huge crowd of people to go out with tonight and I think most likely we’ll be exploring Mont Kiara/ Sri Hartamas.
Just received a pleasant surprise - Paula called to confirm her holiday in July. Had a brief chat with her and missing her alot. Everything here is so different. I think I’m slowly coping nonetheless.
I really love this place called La Bodega. I love its ambience. It reminds me of La Tasca.

House Hunting
Paula smsed me yesterday and told me that she and her family are coming to Malaysia for holiday in July. I couldn’t be more excited than that, looks like my persuasion is paying off. hee hee..
After rounds and rounds of exhaustive house hunting in KL I think I’m not going to be bothered by this issue for now. Will be bunking at Mich new place till I’m more settled before looking for a place of my own. Perhaps this is the wisest choice to make.

Steamboat last night was good. Just too much food but we all had a great time nonetheless. Met another friend of Bin, Winson at the club house.
Most likely Labodega this evening if not Alexis. Sis and Tim will be joining us too. And maybe David too whom I haven’t met before. And not sure who else.
Yeen just got back from Aussie and I just put down the phone with her. We haven’t seen each other for at least 6 years and we were wondering if things would still be the same. I’m pretty sure it would.

Food in KL
Had dinner at ‘Ah Tuan Ee’ restaurant in PJ. If it wasn’t for its name don’t think I would even want to point my finger at this restaurant. The food there really didn’t justify the price that we paid for in terms of both quantity and quality. We had some Nyonya food that wasn’t really that authentic and it couldn’t be more worse when the waiter kept filling our glasses with water without asking us and I thought it was just part of the service, but when the bill came only to realise that we were charged at each refill. It’s not about the money but I just don’t think it’s the right way to make business.
I remember someone told me before that almost all the famous delicacies in Ipoh have moved down to KL where the demand was met. But so far I still haven’t tasted anything that I particularly like. Maybe my taste for food has changed over the years.Â
The other day Mich brought us to Jalan Alor for dinner and still we were conned big time despite our cautiousness. Food there was really bad.. And I thought satay has always been my all time favourite but for the first time I really didn’t enjoy it at all. Maybe should try the Kajang ones someday .
We will have steamboat tomorrow evening. Yay!

Array of lights
Got a call this morning from Ms. San that the interview is being postponed to Monday. Initial plan was that I would be going back to Ipoh this Sunday, but looks like I’ll be staying for a little while longer. Mich will be moving to Sri Hartamas soon and I need to help out with the shifting, but judging by her packing progress I highly doubt she’ll be able to make it in time. Anyway. Spent half a day at Mid Valley today and got myself a piece of suit from G2000 and some other accessories. Alan took me to the company where the interview will take place on Monday, I stared at the 4-storey-building built with relfective tinted glasses and was thinking to myself, what a changing phase I’m in now. I’m so looking forward to start a new life and I just can’t wait for that to happen.
Will be going out for dinner later after Mich finishes her cucumber facial on the sofa.

A call
I was so excited today.
Me and Mich were strolling along Mid Valley when I received an unexpected phonecall that instantly brightened up my day. I was asked for an interview this coming Thursday! I really didn’t expect my applications would get processed so fast and thus didn’t bring anything along with me during this trip to KL, so the rest of the day we were hunting for some formal wear. Thank God Mich was here with me. And also thank goodness I somehow grabbed my portfolio along and thought ‘just in case’… Really hope this is an indication of light that shines through the tunnel after 2 weeks of bleak uncertainties. However premature it may sound, it does give me a sense of comfort and direction. Added pressures from all aspects are really killing me and I want to stop all that.
Wish me luck.
