Paula & co In town
Hoooray… Paula and family are finally here! Called them to the hotel and chit-chatted for a bit, I still couldn’t believe that Paula is really in Malaysia when I know she won’t even dare to take a short flight to Barcelona with her ever-so-paranoid phobia always fearing the plane would crash anytime and always claiming that she doesn’t want to die in the middle of the sky. wild imagination she has. Now this is an achievement for her to have endured a gruesome 13 hour flight. She said even 2 glasses of champagnes didn’t knock her out. They asked me to join them for dinner in KL last nite but shame to say, they couldn’t stopped laughing when I told them I really don’t know my way around in downtown. But I really can’t wait to see them again. If there’s no dinner with client tonite then I’ll try my luck to get to KL. Can’t be that difficult.

London Train Crash
My heart sank when the news broke in. I know Jean sis and family are safe as they were the ones who updated Mel about the whole attack when it happened, who in turned told me about it. Immediately smsed Claire and urged for her safety report. Think she missed call back and Bin later confirmed with me she was still in Windsor. Thank goodness for that. Then I worried sick about all my other friends in London. I can’t believe how cruel these terrorists could actually targeted on such strategic locations and at such right timing. I’ve taken the tube route from Russell Square to Kings Cross on a daily basis for more than 3 years during college days. And if you didn’t know about this which happened in 1999, I walked passed this guy pub in Soho just 10 minutes before the bomb exploded when all I wanted was to get some patisserie from Valerie just a few blocks away. I can certainly understand how traumatised all the victims and eye-witnesses must be feeling now.
God bless London. I wonder if it’ll ever come back the same again. Hope it’ll recuperate soon.

eye opener
Yay! It’s Friday finally! So happy! Remembered I’ve never liked Friday before but now I no longer loathe weekends but instead I’m really longing for it.
Working in the past 2 weeks has been a real eye-opener for me. Ranging from internal corporate processes to meeting external principals, partners and how the ball games go; how a slight twist of a tactic can make a difference.
Next week I’ve been assigned to be on my own meeting up with clients and bringing them out for lunch. I’m really quite excited about it.
