The Loft was Raided
I’ve been advised not no blog about the incident happened on Friday due to the sensitivity contents of it because I’m not living in a free speech country. All I can say is I’m extremely mad at certain enforcements and the way how genuine citizens who are also tax payers are being treated.Yu-Wei stood us up on Friday night which we have decided to give him a reasonably cold shoulder for at least a month because we wouldn’t have ended up in a bloody KL raid otherwise. We are not frequent clubbers but since Yan was going back to Melb the very next day and she would like to check out these places so we went on a round of bar hopping with just the three of us for old time sake.
~From Bar SaVanh and then to Bar Blonde and we finally ended up in The Loft In less than 15 mins after we got our drinks and made our way to a quieter corner, we saw some people jumping off the balcony suddenly. Before we could digest what was going on music was stopped abruptly, fluorescent light turned on and everything was in chaos. To our utter dismay, it was a police raid.
~Â
It was already too late for us to leave the place and having no prior experience of this sort we just chilled and thought it was no biggies. Then everyone was told to hand over their passports or i/c and absolutely everyone gotta have their urine test done under an officer’s scrutiny. I was surprised to see the two Uganda college students who tried chatting us up earlier were given the green light to leave the place immediately. Then I heard the police yelled, ‘ Foreigners this way… ‘ they were ushered to the exit. wt… Since my daddy is no dato nor does he hold any of those titles I ain’t gonna elaborate nor raise my 2 cents anymore. It has definitely spoiled the night so uneccesarily

We reached home at around 5am and Yan’s flight was at 10am.
Absolutely nightmare.
A few snaps I managed to take using my camera phone.Â

That’s it. No more Loft for me ever again.

ShortBreak in Ipoh
I’ve been doing pretty good so far despite the fact that Ipoh is undeniably short of nice places to hang out not mentioning the choice of companies in my circle are also pretty much limited.
- Part of my daily routine which involves getting up at 7am to accompany parents for jogging in Ipoh Polo Ground and to my surprise yesterday, I bumped into a prominent figure where I overtook the Sultan of Perak who happened to be jogging at the park too. He had about 8 bodyguards walking behind him and in fact, it was my first time meeting him in person. He gets on quite a bit with his signatory grey hair and everything but he still looks very charming and generously greeted those who greeted him. On a lighter note, I haven’t seen any snakes this time around in the park unlike last time.
- Met up with Yan Yan and her sisters twice. We had afternoon tea at Ipoh Oldtown KOPITIAM and last night we had two bottles of EaglesHawk at VineyardIt’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed myself and just be myself.
- Bumped into a very old friend, whom I haven’t seen for donkey years. It was kinda wierd that she purposely caught our attention by footing the bills for us in Kopitiam. But it was good to see her again.
- Did something out of my comfort zone: Watched ‘Poseidon’ by myself two days ago. Yes, all by myself. If one day I could stretch my limits to watch a horror movie alone, then I would buy everyone a lollypop.
- Spent 3 hours washing and scrubbing my car all by myself.
- Finished 2 books at home. One by Laura Doyle and the other by Sophie Kinsella
So much for my Ipoh shortbreak and I’m coming back to KL tonight.

Mother’s Day Chang-ing Extravaganza
Mum participated in a ‘Chang-ing’ competition on Mother’s Day whilst me and sis had to be her pompom girls. I’ll just let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
Mum chang-ing and getting excited.
Mum looked so serious but Melissa is making fun of her.
The two most important women in my life

Chris Daughtry Rocks!
Gym today sucks. Body combat sucks because it was over crowded with gym freaks and everyone seemed to struggle locating some selfish space to themselves to do all the punching and kicking. And there was me, who as usual like to hide myself in one corner at the back of the room was accidentally kicked by the most ungentleman bastard TWICE at my waist. He didn’t apologise and I am bloody sure he knows he was kicking some fleshes despite perhaps unintentionally. After about 30 mins through the workout his aggresive movements kinda forced me against the wall and I couldn’t stand it and left the room.I was stuck at the treadmill for an hour because of American Pop Idol and I really can’t believe the verdict tonight. The moment they announced Chris to go home I was shocked and automatically tears start welling up in my eyes seeing his poor disappointing face and when they showed his journey throughout the competition they were pouring out. I’m ashamed I know because I’m a sucker for reality shows. I still can’t believe he was being voted out because I think he is the best amongst them. His performance in the past few rounds have moved me in some ways and particularly when he sang ‘ Have you ever reallly loved a woman’. Man he was awesome and I really think he deserves some credibilities. How did America vote???
My least favourite contestant is Elliot. I simply don’t like his teeth and his expressions.

Happy Mother’s Day
There will be some sort of surprises coming up. Soon.
It’s Motherly weekend!!! Go go go and pamper your mummy with everything you can possibly think of. hehe
It will be certainly a busy weekend for me ahead. Yan is coming back from Melbourne which I’m dying to see her . My cousin Bryan who is also coming back from Spore which we are already trying to arrange a family gathering to bring the youthful ones together. And then have to meet up with my insurance agent Kar Tat to discuss about bringing down my premium. But most importantly, my mum is showing off her singing skills again for her social club performance so we have to be the cheer leaders there and support her.
soOOoo looking forward to going home tmr. Bet it will be exciting.
But for now, I have to leave like now before I miss my body combat class.

Resign
I finally tendered my resignation letter a week plus ago and I’m currently serving my one month notice. It was one of the hardest decision to make these days. I’m leaving my ever so supportive boss who is also my mentor and a whole bunch of wonderful colleagues and also earning those commissions that I’m humbly proud of; to a job that can give me connections and exposure that I will never be able to get without it. The package is not looking pretty at this point but I’m heading towards a career move.
I should be happy, shouldn’t I?Â
