Jolene’s Farewell at Dave
Last Saturday a few colleagues and ex-colleagues went to this pub called Dave for Jolene’s farewell. As she’d be leaving to Singapore for work soon.

Aaron the bar tender? haha.. he’s the aspiring PAM

Jolene, me and Alicia
Keong Yee and I. The Windows Vista guru in LowYat
Poh Sze and I. One of the most sought after talented babes in the office
Alicia and I. The babe who can never get drunk
Jolene and I. The hot babe with a big dream. And obviously it was towards the end when we were about to call it a night.
Err.. That was the situation
Goodbye, My dear friend. We are going to miss you!

This morning
Two things that made my day today:
1) The traffic was super smooth this morning for a change! It was almost like cruising all the way to Kelana Jaya.
2) In the LRT, I saw a guy showed his courtesy by passing his seat to a lady. Then another guy who was sitting in the train, just like myself who witnessed this, also followed suit.
*Love is all around* YAY
work is however, overwhelming. ![]()

Last Promotion ~ Are you really going to miss this?
We have just launched the Merdeka Special promotion last Thursday in conjunction with Malaysia’s 50th year of independence celebration. Can’t believe how time flies! It’s only 3 weeks away from the event and this will be the last forseeable offering in terms of ticket promotion. After 31 August, the ticket price will resume to its original value RM1,299.00
If you think you are going to sit and wait for the stock price to go down nearer to the event date, sorry buddy I’m afraid that ain’t gonna happen.

Big Apple & Just Dessert
This weekend has been one of the hectic but well spent one with the family. After they left on Saturday evening, sis and I decided to chill out at Just Dessert for some Mango & Honey Dew shaved ice dessert, something light for dinner after stuffing ourselves silly at Sasaki during lunch.

Very refreshing dessert, but I’d only rate 6 out of 10
Lazy Sunday
Always my favourite morning.
This shouldn’t surprise to you that I finally got a chance to try out the much raving Big Apple for breakfast today. Despite living merely 5 minutes from The Curve and constant hearing of colleagues & bloggers raving about this Big Apple Shop ~ I’m just not the patient type who would queue up for half an hour just to get donuts.
It was still pretty quiet when we got there around 11am. Good! That means no queue for us.
But the chefs were already very busy rolling dough and baking those donuts.
We ordered 1/2 dozen of donuts with different flavors: Cappucino, Almond, Durian, Dark Chocolate, Sinful Chocolate and Oreo. I’m a chocoholic, the latter 3 were of course, my choice!
The coffee we ordered came with complimentary donuts as well. We managed to finish up to 4 and brought home the rest of them. Next time I’d be tempted to try the Chicken Floss donut, I bet this is only available in Malaysia!
Look at those huge dough and busy chefs

Enjoying my morning cuppa coffee

My mother’s Birthday
Today is my mother’s 65th birthday. Many said she only looks like 50 in real life. She’s my biggest inspiration and my greatest pillar of strength of all time. I wish her always in the pinkest of health & happiness. I could only wish to spend more time with her.
Coincidently Jeannette and Ivan are only flying back to London tonight. Hence, we are bringing her out for a celebration.

White Water Rafting - Kiulu River
Sabah Day 2
It was free & easy. The agency has arranged a few activities for us to choose. Many chose to play golf at the breathtaking golf course in Nexus Resort; some went to Manukan Island for scuba diving and some went for a shopping spree at the city centre. The crazy gang like us opted for the exciting white water rafting adventura! ![]()
It was my first time and boy it was thrilling. 28 of us were taken to the destination in a luxury bus from our hotel. I even saw magnificient Mount. KK whilst on its way!
Kiulu River is located on the northeastern part of Sabah, claimed to be the one of the most beautiful village in Malaysia that promises glimpses of thrills within its beauty of nature. We opted for Class I-II river grade - just nice for beginners who crave for a mild and safe adventure.
The weather was actually very accommodating after a night’s pour the previous night, it meant stronger white water for us!
This trip covers up to 15km of river excursion and about 6 hours including traveling time. We took about 2 hours of rafting, swimming, boat fighting and body rafting before reaching the ending point where we were served with delicious barbecue lunch.
We didn’t bring any water proof cameras, so the pictures below were just some screen captured from the video shoot.
Walking gingerly across the Hanging bridge and the boys were shaking and jumping at the other end

Say cheese before going down the river

Body Rafting was super fun

Row, row, row a boat!

The trip cost us RM150 each. We paid a little extra to have a video shoot of us throughout the trip.
I say absolutely worth it!

Nexus Resort @ Karambunai
Last week, the whole company flewn to East Malaysia for a secluded offsite trip. Karambunai is located about an hour from Kota Kinabalu City centre, but the place is very beautiful. Serene, tranquil & lots of greeneries. The whole trip has been hectic & tiring with a series of activities lining up for us the moment we touched down, however we still managed to squeeze some time out to frolick at the beach during the last day.

Power Carnival @ Sunway Lagoon
Got back from Sunway Lagoon Water Park around 1ish pm after spending about 3 hours squeezing & wobbling my bum with the crowd. It was actually my first “real” visit to the Sunway Lagoon since we got some free tickets for the e-Spring Launch.
The experience was a tad bit disappointing. It was super crowded with people of all races and all age groups. It was literally shoulder to shoulder squeezing our way to the pool. The water in the pool was murky, and the gloomy weather didn’t do us any good either. The queue to the slide pipe was super long and when it started to pour, we decided to leave. But it was a pretty good water workout nonetheless at the artificial Zembuka River where we aqua jogged with the kids there.
It has been a very hectic weekend with Jeannette, Ivan & bro in town. I’ve definitely gone overboard with food! We are always eating and pigging out with some take aways over wine and beer. Looking for another one next week before they fly back to London.
