Happy Lantern Day
To my dear friends,
Wish you all a warm & joyous Autumn Mooncake Festival with your loved ones & friends.
Actually in Malaysia, you don’t really call it autumn as the country is sunny all year round. Hence I called it the Lantern Day.
~
This is my 3rd TangLong Festival be seen since returning home.
~Â
On the first year, I stuffed myself silly with tonnes of mooncake ( as a sign of deprivation) and as a result, I gained 3 kg within the festive month itself.
Yes, no kidding.
~Â
Second year, I developed phobia for mooncake from all that gluttonizing and I felt sick by simply looking at them. Instead, I played candled at home with sis and watching neighbor kids playing lanterns.
~Â
This year, my family is in Shanghai & Melissa is outstation. In fact, I just got to know about today’s ocassion yesterday from a colleague.
So you see I’m not really a very festive person at heart. Except for Christmas, of course.
Bad, bad Chinese blood I am.
Anyway, have fun you’all.

Sunshine Over the Rainbow
So what have I been keeping myself busy lately?
Since doctor has advised me to walk less to let the swelling subside I think I’ve been pretty obedient so far. In which case it also means that my house has attracted a number of visitors who came round to see the bummer.
First of all, Bin brought me a bottle of Chadonnay as a patient gift (ahem.. don’t ask me why which of course, I’m not complaining either ), it was also a ittle celebration over somebody who has finally popped the multi million question
I’m such a tear jerker for proposal tales I tell you!
Bin: yay, the moment was finally here!Â
ANNOUNCEMENT:
My best friend is getting married and I’m going to be the bridemaid!
————————————–
My lovely colleagues ~ Jolene, Rishy & Kiat Ee dropped by one of the days to entertain me & made sure my breathe didn’t stink from the lack of talking being home alone.
Fanny & Shirlyn were really sweet to bring me out for dinner at Friendster on an evening despite them staying at the other far end of Klang Valley. Thank u sistas
muah muah muah
Apart from all the visits & catching up with friends, I’ve never watched so many movies within a week! Just to name a few: The Painted Veil, The Invasion, Premolition, Knocked Up, Bourne Identity… Now you start to get the idea what it means by living to the fullest…
By the way, do you know what is a perfect Sunday?
It is after you wake up without the annoyance of an alarm clock and the weather is just about perfect: breezy air with birds chirping outside the window. Take a drive to Lucky Garden for its famous porkball noodles, and if you are too full after brunch why not take a walk down to Bangsar Village for a window shopping spree?
What’s better than sharing a warm chocolate cake topped with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream at Bakerzin while chatting about Europe dreams? heavenly yuuummmms ~~
Silly little thing like this that warms one heart
Then indulge yourself in a session of manicure and pedicure
As you walk out of the parlour, sunshine over the rainbow is greeting right at you.
I’ve never seen such nice rainbow like this before.
In awe like a little girl….
Yay, I should be able to remove the stitches next week!

The accident of the year
warning: reading disgretion is adviced
For those who knows what happened or have heard about me, I’m really touched by all your warm wishes and thoughtfulness. I’m overwhelmed by the amount of smses received since the accident & I felt kinda obliged to let these friends know that I’m doing good and, that I’m still in one piece.
You know office grapevine can travel even faster than light? And worse, its content is usually 2 or 3 folds more exaggerated if not a far cry from the actual truth.
It was just a bad fall that’s all.  I fell at the escalator on Monday 7.30am, yes on the very first day of TechEd when I was supposed to be the running woman of the day. I might have tripped/ sprained/ not sure how but my right leg somehow landed on the edge of the escalator. The sharp edges penetrated right through my flesh, piercing a diamond hole near my ankle  ( click to here the hole) and it was deep enough to damage a tendon which controls one of my toes.
I was put in a stretcher by the paramedics and then sent to Gleneagles Medical Centre immediately in an ambulance. There goes my Tech.Ed. The only glimpse I had was the keynote rehearsal the night before which I had tears welled up.
The surgeon has already repaired the damaged tendon under surgery. I’m now recuperating at home.
I didn’t know there is such expert who specializes in foot and ankle only - foot & ankle specialist surgeon - that’s my doctor’s title. Apparently Dr. Mahathir was once his patient too.
Jolene, Rishy and Kiat Ee called round for a visit this evening. Apparently rumours in the office have blown to the extent where I’ve broken both of my legs with my bones sticking out and blood splashing everywhere!! O_O
Paramedics arrived
Inside the ambulance
First time being wheeled in an ambulance and watching how the 8am heavy traffic made way for me under emergency.
They poked a tube like thingy through my vein.
Look at the damn tube that went into my vein. creepy stuff
Gesture from colleagues.
After the surgery. My leg has swollen up like a pig.
The fighter, as always ;)
Hospital expenses at Gleneagles cost a bomb. The bill came up to 4k for just one night stay
I’m on the road to recovery. ![]()

Accident
Thanks for all the warm messages and nonstop phonecalls since yesterday morning. I’m very touched. Seriously. Never thought I’ve made so many friends esp in the office. Â
For those who didn’t know, I had an accident yesterday morning around 7.30am and was wheeled to the ER immediately. Hence I never got to see the grand opening of Tech.Ed, the moment I’ve been waiting for 4 months. Heart broken. I was discharged today and am recuperating at home now.
I’m doing good. Hopefully I can blog more about the incident when energy permits.

Microsoft Outlook 2007 Calendar
It’s a very powerful tool, it’s my scheduler & organizer to keep track of my appointments, priority tasks and meeting whereabouts. Without this, I’ll be all over the places.
This is how my schedule looks like for today. At one time I was overbooked for 4 different meetings and I absolutely needed to be there at every single one of them.
Johny, Alex, Bin, and my other friends,
If you guys are reading this, please bear with me for not replying your smses/ cannot meet up/ couldn’t return calls. All of you are already in bed by the time I can return your calls. Anyway, I love you guys. Muah Muah muah!
I’m holding on, 3 more days to go!

I’m on hiatus for a week
Will be back after Tech.Ed.
What’s keeping me sane amidst the craziness of it all?
It’s moment like this where swimming is the best remedy for me.
