Sutera Harbour - snorkeling
After TechNET MSDN roadshow ended in Kota Kinabalu last month, we extended our stay in KK for another night at the Sutera Harbour so that we could go snorkeling the next day. Â
Here’s the spiller as I’m animal phobic. I’ve never snorkeled before and I am by nature scared of live fishes or any cold blooded creatures for that matter. But I was determined to conquer this fear and decided to challenge myself and went ahead with this impromptu plan. Yutz and Poh Sze are already advanced divers, let’s just say I couldn’t be more glad to have them there to calm my nerves and “baby talk” me until I was more comfortable. Before I knew I was already swimming on my own and having fun watching live corals & colorful fishes in their marine habitat. The experience was awesome!

There are three hot spots to choose from. We chose Mamutik Island as the guide told us it has more live corals than the other two.Â

Happy Birthday to Melissa
Today is my second sister’s birthday. Got her a L’Occitane set and a Perlini’s Silver necklace with a tiny white rose pendant. She is one classy woman which isn’t easy to please… oh well, I’m redefining that anything coming from the baby sister should be considered as precious & priceless!
.
Cupcakes seems to be the trend in Malaysia of late. Her colleague got her this birthday cake which made of many mini cupcakes. Quite a refreshing idea but it’s so pretty that you won’t want to eat it!

I just made you RICH
Remember a few posts earlier I blogged about me being the Goddess of Fortune from the little mishap prior to CNY? I seriously hope you all did listen to me BECAUSE my car plate really DID come out on TOTO Lottery few days ago!
.
 .
Seeeee…. I did try to make you all rich didn’t I!
.
Isn’t it amazing how strangely sometimes, the universe turns around to give you streak of hopes amidst all those adversities in life? You know I was actually yakking about it without any concrete substance and I don’t really believe that things like that would come true as I tend to believe in probabilities more than luck. Otherwise, anyone would have became a millionaire right?
.Â
Even though I didn’t win anything, like I said I don’t believe in lottery. I’d still like to think the glass is half full.
.Â
Anyway, I still haven’t gotten my car back… *sob sob* Insurance claiming processes take forever! boohoo

New Life and the Passing
My family is happily blessed with Nathan Chin who was borned in Shanghai this afternoon, weighing at 2.93kg. Mummy is doing great and I’m the ecstatic proud aunt now.
.
[edited] Bro just updated us with some photos of the angel.
Welcome to the beautiful world, baby Nathan
.Â
Ironally and sadly, Hong Kong famous artist Lydia Shum who was borned in Shanghai 60 years ago passed away this morning just a few hours before my nephew was welcomed to the world. She’s an irreplaceable figure who has contributed her whole life to the entertainment industry in Hong Kong. Her jovial character has melted many hearts and her talent has brought 40 over years of sunshine to at least two generations of Chinese souls, including mine.
.
Fei Fei, may you rest in peace. My condolences to her loving daugther, Joyce Chen.

No commentsPenang Drivers
I’ve been thinking to myself for some time. Isn’t it all too coincident that my Penang friends are all daredevils when it comes to driving. Funny thing is they smirk every time I tease & complain, not even the least bit offended. They said I gotta see what it’s like in Penang, they explained it’s their surviving skills in their hometown!
.
So I was in Penang for a Microsoft road show two weeks ago, boy must I say I will definitely top up my life premium if I ever were to stay in this island. Car signals don’t seem to exist! Traffic lights are just decorative on the road! All these drivers seem to have left their conscience at home when they are on the road!
Apart from the reckless driving in Penang, I also noticed this is the way how they park cars over there. That’s not the only car, I saw at least 8 - 10 cars who parked like that. O_oÂ
.
.
And my Penang friend was mighty proud of it. That’s her car, by the way.
.
.Â
Well, this is no longer a personal view. It seems like the recklessness of penang drivers aren’t uncommon afterall.
