Dreamland
The weekend has gone by in the most quietest, and in some way serene which I haven’t had for a long time. No parties, no dinners, nothing for a change. Just some “me time” to reconnect back with this worn out soul and discovered so many little things I’ve overlooked in the past. Like some new clothes of which price tags were still attached immaculately in the colorful shopping bags and I couldn’t remember when or why I bought them, for example. Â
Did a literal spring clean of my room, my store room, my bathroom not to wipe out old memories but only with the desire and hope to give my life a fresh start.

Happy Birthday Claire!
To my best friend in London
~~ with all my love ~~
We didn’t take nice photos together for a long time and all our ol skool photos are hardcopies. Found this scanned photo in my archive, think taken around year 2000 at Yu Wei’s place in Bayswater during the good ol’ London days.

Cupcake chic
Feeling blue on a tedious Monday? Try this mouth watering cupcake chic to give you a mood booster.
The icing is very sweet. I usually scoop off the top layer first.
Some of the ladies at work.
Cupcake for breakfast, anyone?
This was one of those cupcake moment quite sometime back. But damn… looking at these makes me drool.

Heroines Happen Here!
I was in the midst of doing a report of a past event which took place a month ago and I saw this picture. Was wondering why Corp was being so sexist to name the campaign Heroes Happen Here and not Heroines?

Under the Weather
Acidic eyes. Sneezy nose. Painful peeing. Fever. Sore Throat. Ulcers. And fever.
Oh god. Hate being sick.
:(
I don’t care if all hell breaks loose. I’m gonna sleep now and let all the worries take care of themselves tomorrow.
Signing off at 9.30pm

SGAM 19th Annual Conference
So glad I’m finally home now.
Never really been particularly fond of Genting Highland as a place to hang out and to my further dismay, this business trip really didn’t help much to change my impression towards it. Genting was extremely crowded with all sort of people, gamblers aplenty and also family with kids and we were constantly forced to walk behind those notorious "slow walkers" amidst the crowd. Only if you can imagine how frustrated that can be!
Dinner at Torcelli in Genting Theme Park.
I was there for the Share Guide Association Malaysia 19th Annual Conference for 3 days 2 nights where Microsoft was the platinum sponsor. We were given accommodation at First World Hotel which was totally crappy. The room amenities were too basic to mention and it didn’t look anything more than 2-3 star. Sound proof was bad, it was so noisy throughout we hardly slept well. Food was also nothing to shout about even though we were dining at some decent restaurants such as Torcelli.
My colleagues, Patrick and Poh Sze
Chilling out at the Theme Park on Sunday night around midnight
The only place to get internet access there is Starbucks. We were working there every night till the wee hours.
I guess it’s the exhaustion that I came home grumpy and sick.
———————————————————————————–
But lodging and food aside, the conference was nonetheless a fruitful trip a I’ve gained some ICT knowledge from the partners and networking with some senior personnel in the FSI industry. Also met my ex-boss ( a great mentor) and some ex-clients there.
Two Microsoft booths.
Left: Myself and the product manager of developer tools, Tang Siak Kwan
Right: Our windows Mobile partner from Excel Force

Group pic before we tore down the place.
Received an unexpected SMS at 10pm from some MNC big shot just now which kinda thrown me off guard.
But what they say is true:
God is fair, he will make it up to you for things that you’ve lost.
I’m taking this very positively.
But on a well-being note, with my extremely hectic schedule in the past few weeks I’m now down with sore throat, mouth ulcer, chapped lips and a sprouting pimple.
Have to be at office tomorrow at 7.30am for yet again another enterprise event.
*yawn*
Good night pals.

Genting
Am currently at Starbucks Genting working away. It’s 12.35am.
The hotel we are staying in sucks big time
Food here is very lousy too.
And even though it’s chilly and all…. cigarette stench is everywhere.
Don’t like this place. Can’t wait to go home.

Swamped
I’m super swamped with work and having very little sleep everyday.
Â
Managing 4 events in 2 weeks is such a killer. Gonna be in Genting for 3 days for work. And all of these are happening in the midst of Tech.Ed craze.  So if you are a software developer/ IT Professional, you can make me happy by signing up for Tech.Ed now. :)Â

My shoulders have stiffen up to the core.

Sleep Deprivation
I just can’t express well enough how glad I am to know weekend is finally here. It has been such a long week packed with intensive training during working hour and have work spilled into the wee hours.
Had dinner with Yutz and Jason @ Tony Romas @ The Curve earlier but no pics to show. I was too tired and couldn’t be bothered to.
That’s it. I’m not stepping out of the house this weekend. I need SLEEP!

Mondaying
The two hours endurance of heavy traffic to haul our asses back to The Curve to attend Body Balance class had worth the while coz my stiff shoulder has loosen up a little now. Body Balance is an excellent remedy for Monday blues and fatigue. And I give them 20 more brownie points for this season’s great selection of songs. :)
Workload has creep up within the week and expecting to be worse for the coming few weeks, and this is only the 2nd week of the new fiscal year! And with Tech.Ed being less than 6 weeks away, the engine is pacing again. I’ll still try to update this blog as much as I can although I’ve been writing on the anonymous blog more often these days. Need a little breather from time to time you know.
Downfalls will only make you stronger. Sorrows will make you happier and all these are God’s will in the works of making a wise man.
So stay positive.
