- need to start backing up data on my laptop
- need to list down a list of handover items for my current clients
- need to read up on lots of documents/ briefs/ on telco technologies for my new job
- need to start writing farewell note… which I find it very hard after 3 attempts…
- need to start exercising, eat and sleep well to fix my haywire body system
- need to start planning ahead weekend meals with sister/ friends and stop skipping meals just coz I’m too lazy to go out to even get a takeaway
- need to get out of the facebook social trap and get a real life
- need to stop missing working in Microsoft
- need to go Low Yat Plaza to buy a new external HDD and a another Sony SD Card for my camera
- need to re-stock some new and chic OL clothing after discovering how casual I’ve been wearing in the past 2++ years
- need to learn to be weekend independent as I’d like to think that not having someone to spend the weekend with doesn’t mean it’s doomed
But to start that off, The Curve here I come!

Wacky Concert @ Neway Karaoke
Just back from gym. Haven’t been on a treadmill for quite some time ever since I’ve discovered LesMill classes are much more fun & exciting than those boring machines.Â
Â
Fortunately, the “char kuey tiao” at Little Penang this afternoon and the warm chocolate cake that I had at Bakerzin this evening was my main motivation to stay focused on the treadmill for 40 minutes.
Tip to all gym goer girls: Never wear wired bra when you are running on treadmill!
————————————————-
For those who know me know that karaoke has never really been my cuppa tea. I’m a tone deaf remember?
I’m serious. I can be a mad toilet singer and all that but I can’t never really get the tunes right. Not my fault or anything, just that it runs in the gene. ![]()
   Â
But two weekends ago I was so bored out of my wits and yet refused to stay at home watching Bridget Jones for the umpteenth time on a Saturday night… To hell with it, I got some of my colleagues who were just as bored as me to paint the town red and opened a concert at Neway One Utama!
Â
Â
Â

Introducing some of my very cool colleagues, Yutz, Victor and PohSze
Â
We were given the biggeset room which can accomodate up to 50 people. But there was only 9 of us in that freezer!

  Â
Â
Â
Okay, despite my tone deafness, I still made an attempt to entertain the crowd. Ahem, no one actually laughed at me okay :p
  Â
Â
Â

   Â
Michael the great singer. Could have gone for Malaysian Idol already if wasn’t his age :DÂ
   Â
Everyone had fun and were hogging the mic the whole time even though they said they weren’t going to sing.
   Â
The night ended around 4am but I think I zonked out on the couch much earlier.

Sick
I think I’m definitely overdoing it. Whilst it feels really good after each yoga class, I was actually really proud of myself coz I could finally do a full fledge Chaturanga! But this morning I woke up to some seriously sore joints and I could barely flex my muscles. My whole body is tearing apart.
And I’m down with flu.
TLC deprivation.

Spring is here
So I know Spring is here even though I can’t feel it as there’s no difference to the weather here, is there? But spring/ summer collections are out and everywhere. They ain’t cheap though… went on a window shopping spree today to curb my ”time-of-the-year-depression” and guess what, it is so hard to resist but I still managed to stop myself from splurging my purse dry!
Absoluteky fell in love with this jersey floral dress from TopShop. RM298
Â
Didn’t buy tho as I don’t think it’s worth the price
This coming week is going to be tough. But as tough as it gets, it’s just a matter of time.
Have a good week ahead pals!

Le Deli Mt. Kiara
Last night met up with Mich & Courteney after work.
Â
Le Deli is a small deli which sells your normal grocery items, cold cuts and wine. It’s situated right next to Coffee Bean in Mt. Kiara and they have a few tables outside the shop for people to chill out. Their selection of wine is reasonably priced and their coldcut sandwiches are yummy too. The ambience there very much reminds the girls of Melbourne and me of Liverpool so whenver we want to go for somewhere quiet to catch up on each other’s lives, Le Deli would be the place usually.  Â
 Â

 Â
That’s our typical Friday Night Life in KL. Â
 Â
Am gonna be car-less again for three to five weeks. That’s quite sad as I only got my baby back for less than a month! Sigh…. Tim has sold off his car and now waiting for the new Camry to arrive. Many personal plans have to be deterred for now; gym plans will be affected as well and worse, I’ll be commuting the notorious LRT to work! :(  But Tim has done so much for me in the past, it would be inhuman say NO to him ain’t it. But on the brighter side, I probably will be able to save up more $$$ as I won’t be going out as much anymore. ;)Â
Such is life. Sometimes we just have to juggle our priorities and learn how to strike a balance.

Weekend Rewind Part 2
Another weekend has came and gone but fond memories is what we will always carry with us. Our supposedly swimming workout has turned into a somewhat nutty dipping session under the drizzling rain followed by hours of boozing at my place with countless rounds of ”truth or dare”.
 Â
   Â
Here’s a tip, girls.
   Â
Â
Truth or Dare is only fun when played with mixed genders. Whereas us girls ahem, every single round has somehow turned into explicit discussions which wouldn’t normally discuss openly. Warped ideas were exchanged; taboo thoughts were shared; silly laughters filled the house. What a night I tell ya! Guess who’s the one who earned the most throughout the night?  No other than the only boy in the house who came late i.e Jun Fwu!!!
    Â
Anyway, will let pictures speak for the night . Tonnes of pictures to be loaded so be warned.

Weekend Rewind Part 1
It was a very long and wonderful weekend, almost close to perfect if wasn’t the rain. Purposely took last Fri off to stretch it to 4 consecutive days. Didn’t go anywhere in particular, just wanted to take some time off to recharge myself & also to get those tedious pending errands cleared which I’ve procrastinated for the longest time.
But no, I still didn’t make it to the dentist for my annual checkup.
That would be almost an impossible task but anyway that’s a separate subject altogether.Â
Anyway having 4 days off was superb. Even if it means by simply sitting in front of the idiot box and mindlessly ran a few rounds of movie marathon home alone, I was gleefully contented. Noticed sofa was getting lil’ dusty. Can’t remember when was the last time I sat in my own living room, properly. House cleaning hadn’t felt so good before!
Â
Â
There was 2 highlights and 1 downfall lowlight over this short break though.
Â
The downfall lowlight is such that I’ve gotten myself a temperature because of too much frolicking under the rain and hence have disappointed Von for our supposedly pasar malam date. Sorry babe! ![]()
 Â
But the bright side is there are actually 2 highlights to shout about!
      Â
First, I finally met up with Jon after god knows how long. It’s twisted and wicked but to cut long story short, never have we imagined to have a day like this and we just couldn’t stop saying to ourselves ” This is crazy huh!”Â
Things sometimes turn out in the strangest way. Don’t you think life is always full of surprises?
 Â
We had a quick and casual dinner at this Indonesian Chicken Place called “Waroeng Penyet” at the Curve.Â
Â
We ordered a Penyet set and a Panggang set. Don’t ask me what that means though! :p
 Â
  Â
Chicken Panggang - I think it’s Fried Chicken
    Â
Chicken Penyet - Supposedly Stone Grilled Chicken according to Jon
    Â

 Â
Food was only mediocre. The chicken Panggang is probably slightly better than the Penyet if you ask me. Never mind the flattened coke or the overly sweetened lime juice. Or the pouring rain throughout. tsk tsk tskÂ
  Â
Would still prefer Nandos or Kenny Rogers anytime. Â
Â
  Â
Didn’t realize I’m such a fussy eater sometimes. Only sometimes…
 Â
 Â
What’s the other highlight? Next post! ![]()

RAW @ Solaris, Mt. Kiara
As I walked out of the gym around 8pm last night, the entire Laundry & its surrounding area was jam packed with people. The stage was there and Colby’s songs were clearly audible. But she wasn’t there yet - only the MCs were there hyping up the crowd. I didn’t wait for Colby as I had to rush to get a cake and then off to Mt. Kiara to meet my friends.Â
~
RAW is a newly opened bar in Mt. Kiara which we went to check out last night for Alan’s birthday drinks. Quite a happening place with classy decor but the black beat music wasn’t really our cuppa tea so we sat outside chatting over a few jugs of beer.
~Â
They say life starts when you turn thirty. Happy birthday Alan!

Colby Caillat @ The Curve tonight
Colby Caillat is in town!
.
IF you want to catch a glimpse of this talented and sweet 22 year old US artiste, she’ll be at Laundry @ The Curve for a showcase tonight. It’s surely going to be a mad crowd with fans and weekenders and furthermore you’ll need a ticket to get in. But heck, you can always sit somewhere nearby Laundry right? Might pop by if I get lucky.
 .
Love her two recent hits - Realize and Bubby. Â

Terry Fox Run 2007
This is one month overdue entry.
Exactly a month ago, my colleague, Iriani took the initiative to gather all the charity enthuthiasts in the office to take part in this year’s Terry Fox run. Since I didn’t go last year, thought it’d be a nice thing to do on a Sunday morning, what more when I get to check out what marathon is like in Malaysia not to mention it’s for charity. It’s not as though I’ve taken part in any of the London Marathons before but I’ve watched on tv before okayyyy :PÂ
~
Run. Marathon here I come. NOT! Tt turned out to be a very mild run. Hmmm actually no… even ”brisk walking” would be an over-statement. The entire lake garden was jam packed with all different concoction of runners ranging from the lame ones like myself to the really serious hardcore ones. The entire route was only 6km and there was no room to speed at all. I was walking together with my colleagues while chatting away and about 30 minutes later we reached  the finishing line.

The run ended around 1030am. The group then adjourned to the nearby food stall for nasi lemak breakfast. It was overall a pretty fun outing and most of all, I’m proud of myself as I’ve succumbed to dump my cozy warm bed on a Sunday morning ;)
