Gentlemen of the year
Very busy at work this week and have been working late everyday.
There were some complicated ad hoc issuesto be dealt with which really kept me spinning from one place to another.
On Wednesday, the matter was so urgent that I had to drive all the way from Shah Alam to deliver pcs to the bank in KL.I was actually doing this with a principal partner cos this guy told me that we have to go there in 2 cars since there were 10 boxes to be delivered, hence he needed me to go along with him.
Remember I said I was really busy and my phone was ringing non-stop? Well the guy was being really ‘nice’ and helped me move the boxes into my car while I was on the phone with clients. So after everything was done, I got back into my car and ready to rush back to KL. Theeeeeeen, little did I notice that his car only have 2 boxes and the rest were in my car!!!!!!! Imagine he actually squeezed 8 big boxes( monitors and cpus) into my brand new MYVI?????? No wonder I only have a pathetic little hole to peek from the car rear window and thank goodness there wasn’t any cops around throughout the journey. I was very, very, very fumed.
When we reached the bank at 530pm, he had such courtesy to unload nothing more than that 2 boxes of monitors from his car and told me he was leaving cos traffic was bad.
‘ WHAT??? You are leaving me just like that???’
‘ Yeah, I gotta go.’
‘ No way!!! You are not gonna help at least get a trolley for me to bring all these 10 boxes to the 5 th floor???
‘ No I’m not going up there. I really have to go now. The traffic is really bad. Bye’
And he really wheeeezed off just like that. Leaving me and the stupid idiotic 10 boxes at the entrance of the bank.
He isn’t any young yuppie. He’s a 35 year old married man. Mind you.
I really hope what he did doesn’t resemble the rest of the Malaysian guys.

and i’ve got experience with box carrying too. hauled 50 of them by myself couple of months ago.
what? he’s a principal partner… his boss would be hearing a complaint from me by now
and it’s bloody against the law to load stuff above the window level for privately owned cars
welcome to the working world, my dear. work hard, work smart - cos there are tonnes of blunt idiots out there. be pushy, demanding and mean when necessary.
but do it in a subtle way.

what a bastard. thts so rude and ungentleman of him…luckily u not caught by police. next time when he ask you for help, just give excuses.
Lets just say there are less of these people in western countries. It’s the whole culture here or rather the lack of it, as observed. Take it easy.
